Harry Papageorgiou and Rhian Hague, are trying to put together a walk/run to help raise funds for Emily Karakatsanis and the Monash Children’s Hospital.

Join them and walk or run in the HOPE that answers can be found to cure chronic illness in young children and teenagers.

Emily is a 15 year old Brighton Secondary College student who has been diagnosed with a rare, debilitating disease called Hypereosinophilic Syndrome.

As a result, Emily and her family have had to travel the world looking for answers which has caused much financial strain. They will soon embark on another four week journey to America to meet with leading world specialists, in the hopes that they can suppress Emily’s immune system.

Walk for Hope will assist with Emily’s medical costs but will also raise money for the wonderful team at the Monash Children’s Cancer Centre, also known as MCCC, where Emily is managed and treated.
MCCC is very close to Emily’s heart and together with her family, they would like to give back and raise some much needed funds for this amazing facility.

Five dollars from every registration will go to the Monash Children’s cancer Centre and you will be helping Emily and the lives of many children who walk through the doors of MCCC.
