TrainOSE, the operational arm of the Hellenic Railways Organization (OSE), is to start offering thousands of cut-price tickets every month in a bid to boost passenger traffic and facilitate travel for young people with dwindling incomes.
As of today, TrainOSE will offer 3,000 reduced price train tickets every month with a trip from Athens to Thessaloniki, for example, costing 12 euros. Young Greeks aged between 13 and 30 are eligible for a European Youth Card.
