Col Stinson, a student at Buchholz High School in Gainesville, Florida, was on holiday on Santorini island when he accidentally captured a marriage proposal on camera.

The American teenager was taking photos of the mesmerising sunset the exact moment a couple became engaged, and took to twitter to find them.

“Watching the sunset in Santorini last night and captured this but wasn’t able to get the picture to the couple,” Stinson wrote on his account, adding: “So twitter do your thing.”

There was considerate distance between the young photographer and the newly engaged couple as they were standing on different cliffs, therefore it wasn’t possible for him to approach them, he probably did not want to ruin the moment either.

Unquestionably, an engagement is one of the most memorable moments in one’s life which is why Stinson hopes to share the photos with the couple in question.

In the image he shared on Twitter, a man can be seen kneeling before a woman in a black dress, on top of a cliff that overlooks the sea and sunset. The woman is obviously surprised and excited as she is covering her mouth with one hand, while her partner is holding her hand popping the question.

If it is not, perhaps you can still help him find them. Surely the couple will be stoked to receive the original photos of their engagement.
