The Grand Final for the New South Wales NPL has been set. Sydney Olympic will face the challenge of the APIA Leichhardt Tigers at the Leichhardt Oval on Sunday 9 September, in a game that is sure to polarise interest from both sides. APIA have been in excellent form as they recently advanced to the quarter-finals of the FFA Cup, knocking out the likes of A-League Champions Melbourne Victory from the competition, so Olympic will have their work cut out for them, if they are to take the reigns in football within the state once again.

However, Sydney Olympic were not the only Greek team to find out their fortune in NPL state football this past week, as Canberra, who have also advanced to the Grand Final in Capital Football, were awaiting their opponent. As luck would have it, that will be Canberra FC, the same team that they knocked out in the quarter-finals.

In Queensland, Olympic FC made it through the quarter-final round after a very difficult game against the Western Pride that was decided in the last five minutes. Elsewhere, Hellenic ended their season victoriously, with Darwin and the Olympia Warriors both succumbing to 1-1 draws.
