Greek American writer Angela Panayotopoulos’ debut novel weaves themes of Greek mythology and Norse lore and she explores the theme of WWII in The Art of War.
The novel sees three ethnicities all catapulted together on the island of Mythaki – a Nazi discriminated for his conscience; an iconogrpaher haunted by her artistry; and an officer who taints a village with his madness all taking place in WWII ravaged Greece.
The Art of War explores both the brightest and darkest facets of mankind, illuminating the human psyche in its discovery that life can be at once a heaven and a hell.
