Young Greek player Stefanos Tsitsipas was up against Italian Matteo Berrettini at the Australian Open today, playing a hard game in hot conditions.

Tsitsipas managed to overcome the tricky conditions despite his average stats on outdoor courts and dislike for playing in sweltering heat.

Playing on court 3, he dropped the first set 7-6 and struggled with the fourth set, but went on to win the second 6-4, third 6-3 and final set at 7-6.

The player ranked no 15 is now closer to his goal of reaching the semifinal and making his way to the top 10. His opponent, Berrettini came to Melbourne a year ago ranked 130 but climbed his way just outside the top-50 this year.
