Today, 15 February is International Childhood Cancer Day and over 300,000 children worldwide are currently affected by the disease worldwide, with most families struggling to cope financially.

In the spirit of the day, a restaurateur from Kavala, Greece pledged to donate all of this tavern’s earning to the city’s Cancer Council.

As announced on social media, Mr Yiannis Sarris will allocate all the earnings from customers that will choose to dine at Sto Koutouki Tou Sarri towards causes supporting the fight against children’s cancer.

The tavern is one of the most popular eateries in Kavala and is full every night. Meanwhile, it is also one of the very few restaurants in Greece that have menus in braille and special ramps and tables that can facilitate and make the premises accessible to people with disabilities.
