Top seed Stefanos Tsitsipas, 20, defeated Kazakhstan’s Mikhaeil Kukushkin, 31,  at the Marseille Open on Sunday. The result was a 7-5 7-6 (5) victory.

The game took a little under two hours with 14 aces, and a win of 86 per cent of his first serve points.

The ATP 250 win has brought Tsitsipas the second major title in his career following his victory at the Stockholm Open in October last year.

The victory brings the tennis player to No 11 in the world tennis player rankings and there is hope for the player to make the Top 10 soon.

The player is a force to be reckoned with and has been working hard to achieve his goals with a tough travel schedule and newfound global recognition to deal with following his success against Roger Federer in the Australian Open last month.
