After losing to Therry Penola a fortnight ago, last week, the Spartans with a full side played their usual quick run and spread brand of football to win the second semi-final by 67 points and guaranteeing their place in the Grand Final next week.
Nine goal kickers for 14 goals was an indication that the Spartans put in a great team effort and stuck to their game plan, structures, set plays and discipline required to beat the opposition on the day.
The Spartans set the pattern of the match from the first quarter by kicking 4.4 to Therry Penola zip. It was much the same up to half time until the third quarter when the Spartans stamped their authority on the game with some tight defensive work to draw away and take an 11 goal victory at the final siren
