It’s all about squad building at Western United, with the club having just announced the acquisition of yet another three players.

Previous reports by Neos Kosmos regarding Apostolos Stamatelopoulos have been confirmed, with the 19-year-old agreeing to move “west” from the next season.

Following suit will be 20-year-old defender Dylan Pierias of Melbourne City’s youth team, alongside Ajax’s 19-year-old central midfielder Sebastian Pasquali, who began his career at Melbourne Victory.

All three players are still quite young in age, in an investment made with the future of the club in mind.

Following these agreements, assistant manager at Western United John Hutchinson pointed out that all three players were thoroughly assessed by both himself and his associate John Anastasiadis, while going on to speak about the individual assets of each player and what they can bring to the team.

Stamatelopoulos, Pierias and Pasquali will now join the already announced marquee signing Panagiotis Kone, Josh Risdon, Aaron Calver and Connor Chapman at the club, raising the total number of players in the roster to seven, while those of Greek origin go up to three (Kone, Stamatelopoulos, Pierias).

Western United will participate in the A-League from season 2020/21.
