The Greek Cup final between PAOK Thessaloniki and AEK Athens will be held at OAKA Stadium on Saturday. Unfortunately, it will be by special-invite only.

Alternate Sports Minister George Vasiliadis reached the decision following consultations with the Greek Football Federation, police and the representatives of the two clubs.

Spectators, apart from the invited guests, will not be permitted entry due to fears of violence.

The decision has been criticised by sports fans. In many way it is an admission that the Greek state is not competent enough to control hooligans from clashing against each other outside sports arenas.

Scenes of violence have often emerged following games with fans attacking each other and destroying property.
