The new scoreboard came out on Monday, putting Stefanos Tsitsipas up to number 9 in the world ATP’s rankings following his first clay court win on Sunday in Estoril where the 20-year-old claimed the title after beating Uruguay’s Pablo Cuevas 6-3, 7-6 (7-4). Following this title, Tsitsipas has 3,190 in the ATP rankings.

There was also good news for tennis player Maria Sakkari who climbed 12 positions in the WTA weekly list. She is now ranked 39th in the world with 1,367 points following Saturday’s victory at the Grand Prix de SAR La Princesse Lalla Meryem in Morocco. Sakkari beat the UK’s Johanna Konta and won 10 of the final games to lift her first WTA trophy.
