The Hellenic RSL Melbourne, will screen the historic Greek film ‘Hill 731’ at 1.30pm on 1 June at the group’s club house.

The Battle on Hill 731 was a significant victory by the Greek forces against the Italians in March 1941. The fierce battle began in southern Albania when fascist Italy launched an assault (Operation Primavera) against Greece, aimed at capturing the critical mountain pass leading into the Kalpaki valley.

The invitation to the screening is open for all the Greek community, at no cost. The duration of the film is an hour and refreshments will be served at the conclusion.
