The Achilleas Youth of AHEPA have organised a traditional Greek tavern dinner and trivia night to raise funds to buy much needed books for a disadvantaged Greek school.
The night will be held at Florina’s Greek Tavern, 109 Glenferrie Road, Malvern on Friday 19 October at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $45pp or $40 for students.
Go and be treated to a delectable three course Greek banquet, generous Greek hospitality and a night of fun trivia with questions related to Greek culture and history as well as to general music/film, politics, sport and current affairs. What’s more, enticing and highly-rewarding prizes are on offer to the winners of the trivia competition as well as of our raffle and live auction.
All in the name of a humble cause, Achilleas Youth of AHEPA aims to foster the leadership and active citizenship of Greek Australian youth and engage in our global diaspora. President of AHEPA Chapter Achilleas Youth, Jiannis Tsaousis, calls for “taking a stand in this time of crisis for the innocent children of Greece. All of us, as part of the worldwide Hellenic diaspora, must express our solidarity for a country stuck in a debt spiral whose innocent victims are the deprived children of Greece facing a generational wipe-out. We must not let society in Greece teeter further to abyss”.
All funds raised from the night will directly finance the purchase of books and supplies. For more information or to buy tickets visist achilleasyouth.webs.com
