PILGRIMAGE TO GREECE
The Year 8 and Year 9 students from Oakleigh Grammar School will be conducting a Pilgrimage to Greece to honour the fallen ANZAC’s. Their trip will take place from the 21st June to the 12th July and will entail social, cultural, historical and educational elements. The students will have the opportunity to visit the majority of the Major Commonwealth War Memorials from Thessaloniki in the North down to Crete in the South. GALLERY EXHIBITION
The Shrine of Remembrance is hosting a Gallery Exhibition titled “Australians and the Underground 1939 – 1945” on Monday 1st July at the South Gallery of the Shrine of Remembrance. The Gallery uncovers the stories of those who through accident or design, found themselves battling the enemy using unconventional means. The Battle of Crete & Greece Commemorative Council of Victoria in conjunction with the Municipality of Chania are hosting the official unveiling of a plaque in the main town of Mournies dedicated
