We would like to offer our deepest condolences to the family of Takis Gogos and Neos Kosmos’ staff from Kalamata, where he had spent many summers with us, George and Elena Vassilopoulos.

Here he made friends who recognised his great contribution to the Greeks in Australia, and the media here presented him as an influential figure, who had greatly helped he Greek community.

Neos Kosmos was the “the Greek Bible“

All Greeks got all the information: national, international affairs etc etc etc…

We offer our recognition to this man for presenting the Greek community to Australian parties, to the public, to the government as a serious, united community which deserves high respect and recognition.

Takis and all the people who have been working at Neos Kosmos deserve our respect and love. They have kept the moral and ethical standard very high by telling the truth on every issue and giving voice to the underprivileged.

From me, I offer thousands of thanks to you.

I’m sad to have left Melbourne only a few days before his passing. I would like to offer a red rose from my beloved husband and his long-time friend, George Vassilopoulos.
