Stefanos Tsitsipas became the first Greek player to reach the Roland-Garros round of 16 in 83 years after eliminating Filip Krajinovic 7-5 6-3 6-7(5) 7-6(6) on Saturday.

Ranked at No. 6, Tsitsipas is a force to be reckoned with following this win and the young gun will now face 2015 champion Stan Wawrinka.

Tsitsipas has joined a meteoric rise in the world of tennis and has enjoyed a fantastic campaign so far in 2019, lifting trophies in Marseille and Estoril as well as a second Masters 1000 final in Madrid as well as – who could forget – his first major semifinal at the Australian Open.
