MUSICAL: ‘MURIEL’S WEDDING THE MUSICAL’
A new season of ‘Muriel’s Wedding The Musical’ has kicked off, with Greek Australian Stefanie Jones in the role of Rhonda, Muriel’s best friend. Based on the cult 90’s film, the musical sees Muriel stuck in a dead-end life where she dreams of the perfect wedding, despite not yet having a groom. When she follows her dreams and finally ends up with everything she ever wanted, that’s when things start to go really wrong. GREEK AND QUEER WORKSHOP
After listening to Greek Victorians earlier in the year, ideas have been developed about communication approaches to improve acceptance and support of LGBTIQ+ community members. At this workshop, hosted by Greek and Gay and facilitated by Terri Soumilas and Kate Simpson, these ideas will be shared, asking attendees to improve on them, generate new ideas and give feedback on what won’t work. Open to anyone of Greek heritage that would like to contribute to improving acceptance and support of LGBTIQ+ community members. Simple food and drink will be available.
