Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Greece’s newly elected Prime Minister has appointed Antonis H. Diamataris as the Deputy Minister for Expatriate Greeks.

Mr. Diamataris, who has been based in New York since 1968 when he migrated to the United States, has been both the publisher and editor of the National Herald since 1979.

The new Deputy Minister for expatriate Greeks hails from Lemnos island where he was born in 1950 in Thanos village.

    He buys 100% of the shares of the publishing company Ethnikos Kyrix (National Herald) becoming the publisher for the historic newspaper.
