Police are searching for clues to help arrest those responsible for damaging more than 20 vehicles in residential pockets of Oakleigh South and Clayton South on Sunday night.

Crime scene officers and detectives gathered evidence and are appealing for more information in relation to the spree.

More than 20 vehicles parked in residential streets in Clarinda, Oakleigh South and Clayton South received damage which police believe was the result of a bar or mallet, with reports received as early as 2.30am Monday (July 20) morning.

Information given to police indicates that a car, possibly silver in colour, was seen driving in the Clarinda area at the time, in and around Clarinda Road, Davanzo Avenue, and Elder Street.

Police also believe that there are more residents with damaged cars who didn’t immediately report damages and they are urging people with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
