Greek director Costa-Gavras film, ‘Adults in the Room, made its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival on 31 August.

Adapted from Greek former finance minister Yanis Varoufakis book, ‘Adults in the Room’, the work dives into the events that took place during the peak of the Greek economic crisis after the Radical Left Coalition (SYRIZA) party took control.

Costa-Gavras, the director of ‘Z’, ‘State of Siege’ and ‘Missing’, stages the film in the form of a political thriller which conveys the dramatic tension in the closed session of European meetings.

Christos Loulis plays the role of Varoufakis, with Alexandros Bourdoumis in the role of former Greek prime minister Alexis Tsipras.

The film will premiere in Greek cinemas on 3 October.
