Sydney-based historian Leonard Janiszewski and documentary photographer Effy Alexakis are heading to Melbourne this month to present a lecture on ‘Greek Enterprise – A Diverse History of Australian Greeks in the Workplace’.

They will explore the complex and broad involvement of Greek Australians in Australia’s development over the last 200 years.

Aside from playing a key role in the nation’s food catering industry, they have also been involved in agricultural and pastoral pursuits, mining, sea-related industries, public life and professional fields.

Free to attend, the lecture is chance to learn more about the fascinating and integral role of Greeks in the economic development of Australia.
