If you live in NSW and are part of  a community or cultural group you can apply for grants through the Multicultural NSW Celebrating Diversity Grants Program.  Funding of up to $10,000  is available out of a total pool of $800,000. Multicultural NSW “promotes community harmony while celebrating cultural diversity as an important part of NSW life” and is open to all cultural groups and communities.

New South Wales is home to over 200 language groups and the state’s Premier, Gladys Berejiklian is herself of Armenian heritage.

For projects which promote collaboration between diverse groups and aim to “make a difference” there are grants of up to $40,000 under Celebrating Diversity: Projects. The total pool amount for Celebrating Diversity: Projects Grants Program is $600,000.

Multicultural NSW in a statement says, “We are stronger because of our diversity, and together we are building a society that works better in harmony. Our cultural diversity gives us a creative and competitive edge on the world stage.”

The Celebrating Diversity Grants Program invests in community projects, events and activities that foster community harmony and celebrate cultural diversity as a precious part of our identity and way of life.
