St Artemios, the feast day of the protector saint of the police, was celebrated by Greek law enforcement agents on 20 October at Zappeion Megaron.

Special units of the Greek Police (ELAS) held demonstrations, putting on a spectacular show of acrobatics with impressive rope descents from helicopters.

Visitors also got to enjoy a special exhibition to be better informed about crime prevention and the important role that police officers play to ensure public order.

Activities for youngsters included games to better inform them about road rules and car safety, and they practised driving small cars on offer. Others preferred learning about the use of K9 partners in special investigations.
