President of Fronditha Care, Mr Mike Zafiropoulos has congratulated the Fronditha team for 35 years in business.
At this year’s Annual General Meeting, the president thanked all those who work tirelessly to help residents and staff.
Special thanks was extended to the many volunteers who undertake a variety of roles within the organisation.
Warm recognition was also extended to the Thornbury and Templestowe Auxiliary Groups who continue to raise much needed funds.
This year Fronditha Care has continued to expand its capacity to provide more care for growing demand.
The extension to the new aged care facility in Thornbury “Anesi” is to be completed by February 2013 and will house another 120 beds.
The Board of Directors also approved plans for the redevelopment of the current 103 bed Clayton facility to 150 beds and the refurbishment of the St Albans facility by converting eight shared rooms to fourteen single bed rooms and with individual en suites and one double room.
The meeting also saw Mr Mike Zafiropoulos AM, JP, Mr Paul Mavroudis and Mr Nicholas Thodos elected onto the board.
