The Deputy Foreign Minister for Greeks Abroad, Antonis Diamataris is due to arrive in Sydney on Thursday evening, officially commencing his visit across the country to meet Greek Australians across various sectors.

During his nine day stay, the Minister has a packed schedule. He will visit the Junior Campus of St Spyridon College and meet with Archbishop Makarios, as well as the Greek Orthodox Community of NSW board and leaders of the local chapter of AHEPA.

Mr Diamataris will also address the community with a speech at the Hellenic club, and will meeting with local MPs of Greek background in each city.

On Saturday night the Minister will arrive in Melbourne, where he is scheduled to meet with local representatives of the World Hellenic Inter-Parliamentary Association, as well as Victorian Minister for Health, Jenny Mikakos. A visit to Oakleigh Grammar is also on the agenda, as are local Greek media organisations, including Neos Kosmos.

Mr Diamataris will deliver a speech at the Greek Centre.

The next stop is Adelaide, where he will meet with leaders of local Greek associations, representatives of the Greek Orthodox Community of SA, as well as politicians, educators, and entrepreneurs.

The Minister’s visit will conclude in Perth, where he will have meetings with leaders of local associations and leading figures across the fields of academia, science and politics, departing on 13 December.
