Archbishop Makarios met with members of AHEPA NSW INC at his offices last week.

The discussion focused on the support that AHEPA has offered Saint Andrew’s Theological College in the past, and plans for more funding to be announced shortly by Archbishop Makarios.

The AHEPA delegates also discussed the group’s participation in the Holy Archdiocese Committee for the celebration of the Bicentenary of the beginning of the Greek War of Independence via the appointment of a representative. They submitted a list of proposals regarding this.

The group presented the hierarch with a folder of architectural drawings for planned works at Bexley North. These include drafts of the new central offices of the organisation, a complex consisting of a club and a multicultural community centre together with a large modern multi-purpose space for the promotion of Hellenic civilisation.

Archbishop Makarios will offer a special blessing to members of AHEPA NSW and their families on 20 January.
