EPIPHANY DAY (THEOFANIA) IN FRANKSTON

Epiphany Day is fast approaching. A significant day on the Greek Orthodox calendar, it is a particularly special event for the church community of Frankston which will be celebrating its namesake and feast day. Epiphany celebrations will commence this Sunday evening with a special liturgy. On Monday, a divine mass will be conducted by His Grace Bishop Ezekiel of Dervis. Everyone will then proceed to the Frankston Pier, where the blessing of the waters will take place, followed by a glendi on the beach with food, drinks, music, and plenty of dancing.

THEOFANIA IN ROSEBUD

To mark the Theofania, a divine mass will be held at the Greek Orthodox Holy Monastery of Panagia Kamariani. This will be followed by the blessing of the waters at Rosebud, and will be followed by a paniyiri on the grounds of the monastery. Enjoy souvlakia, loukoumades, drinks, and music by DJ Joe well into the afternoon.

AUSTRALIA DAY CELEBRATION

The Federation of Greek Elderly Citizen Clubs of Melbourne and Victoria is hosting its annual Australia Day picnic. Everyone is invited to go along and take part in the celebrations. The atmosphere is sure to be abuzz with music, dancing and drinking, along with plenty of surprises from Greece in store! Intrigued? You’ll have to go along to find out.
