Legendary Greek artist Nana Mouskouri has released a new album Rendez-vous. The CD is a marvellous collection of duets with a diverse range of Nana’s musical friends from all around the world including Greece’s Helen Paparizou, Spain’s Julio Iglesias, the USA’s Joan Baez and Harry Belafonte, and Brazil’s Martinho da Vila.
Born in Chania in 1934, Mouskouri is one of the most successful Greek recording artists – and one of the best selling female artists of all time – having sold more than 350 million records worldwide and has broken down international musical barriers by recording songs in Greek, French, English, German, Dutch, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Hebrew, Welsh, Mandarin Chinese, Maori and Turkish. Her career has spanned over five decades.
