The International Hellenic Association, based in Delaware, has sent out a call to the international Greek Community to help Greeks in the Evros region. Their message is as follows:

To the International Greek Community,

Following the announcement by the Municipality of Alexandroupolis and the Union of Veteran Army Officers of Alexandroupolis on the needs of the men and security forces in the Evros region, the International Hellenic Association – IHA has taken the initiative to raise funds so that Greeks can participate in covering the cost of necessary equipment as their personal finances allow.

This action is global as many IHA members are expatriates. As we realise that times are difficult for our country, we call on Greeks and Hellenophiles everywhere to a worldwide clarion call to action.
