Fronditha Care’s Community Services division received a three-year accreditation after passing its first full assessment by Aged Care Quality and Service Commission earlier this month.

The audit of the division which provides care to more than 460 Australian Greeks in Victoria, was carried out under the new Quality and Safety Framework and was found to meet all eight standards and 42 requirements set up under the framework.

Fronditha Care’s Chief Executive Officer Michael Malakonas said the results were a testament to the hard-working community services staff.

“Our staff does a phenomenal job and it has been proven once again through these exemplary results,” he said.

According to Fronditha Care, the Community Services division provides services to more than 470 people in the community. The division recently surpassed the number of seniors the organisation looks after in its residential aged care facilities.

Fronditha offers a number of services to Victoria’s Greek community in their own language and these include home care packages, domestic assistance, social support groups, volunteer services and help in navigating the aged care system.
