Thousands of dollars worth of much needed supplies have already been gathered for the donation drive run by the Pallaconian Brotherhood of Melbourne and Victoria “Leonidas”.

In a heartwarming post on their Facebook page, the organisation expressed gratitude to all those who supported the initiative, with a warm thank you extended also to the president of the Pallaconian Brotherhood, John Mastrogiannakos, and his committee for their hard work managing the operations.

Supplies gathered include non-perishable food items, sanitary products and other essentials which be offered to those impacted by the pandemic crisis.

“It is touching to see that the spirit of Greek φιλότιμο is still alive and well, even in the uncertain times of the COVID-19 pandemic,” reads an excerpt of the post.
