• Australian designer Alannah Hill has denounced animal rights group PETA after claiming to have received a death threat from someone from someone within the group. Police are investigating the threat. Hill included rabbit fur in her last collection and has since received nearly 700 abusive emails.
  • Donna Karan has gone mobile. The New York designer has recently launched her very own iPhone application that allows her to stay in touch with fans and consumers. The application allows users to get a preview of upcoming collections, a weekly journal and an interactive feature that allows people to submit their questions to Karan.
  • Days after the launch of the latest Armani campaign, Victorian Beckham has decided not to renew her yearly contract as the face of the brand. Instead she will focus on her own career as a fashion designer. Her last collection sold out within hours of going online and also sold out in luxury department store Selfridges. Beckham will be launching her new collection next month at New York Fashion Week. It is suspected that Megan Fox will replace Beckham as the new face (and body) of Armani.
  • Speedos and other tight swimming briefts have been banned from the UKís biggest water park. Alton Towers has announced that tiny male swimwear is inappropriate for a family venue and suggests that male visitors wear board shorts instead.
