Greece will allow the first wave of travellers to enter the country from a select group of countries.

Visitors from two dozen countries, including Germany, Cyprus and Israel, will be allowed to holiday in the region from mid-June.

Tourists will not need to be quaranteened as COVID-19 restrictions are eased.

Greek tourism accounts for about 20 per cent of the Greek economy. At the moment Greece has allowed for citizens from all EU countries except Italy, Spain and the Netherlands to fly into Athens provided they place themselves into a 14-day self-isolation period.
