The Greek Cheerleading Federation – Athletic Group Dance has scored a victory after gaining permission from the Ministry of Education for its representatives to enter schools.

The request was granted by the ministry “in the context of spreading the sporting spirit and encouraging the involvement of young children in sports”.

With this agreement, cheerleading will enter the Greek state school system for the first time following a relevant decision by Konstandinos Tsachalas, head of the general directorate of primary and secondary education.

The allowance for representatives to enter schools follows the official recognition of the sport of cheerleading in late May by the Ministry of Culture and Sports and the General Secretariat of Sports.
