The Tigers in front of 70,000 plus spectators at the MCG are ready to take on the Bombers following Essendon’s dismal loss to Brisbane last outing. For the last three years the ‘Dons, after great starts to each season, have suffered a melt-down during each month of June with multiple back-to-back losses, and with two defeats in May, it looks like June has come early for the Bombers this year.

Richmond finished strongly to overpower the Demons for a good win last Sunday and their strength will only improve this week as big Ivan Maric returns, improving their ruck strength. In a close game, Richmond will prevail, handing Essendon their third defeat in as many weeks.

In other games tomorrow, Port Adelaide at home host Geelong, who are expected to bounce back after their unexpected loss last week and win. GWS Giants at home meet the West Coast Eagles, who shouldn’t have any trouble beating the young Western Sydney side, and St Kilda will have enough talent to defeat the Western Bulldogs at Etihad Stadium this afternoon. The Brisbane Lions at home tonight will battle the Blues. Brisbane always plays well at home and Carlton will find it difficult early on before powering over the Lions to win.

Sunday and Hawthorn should easily defeat the Gold Coast Suns at the MCG. North Melbourne play the Adelaide Crows at Etihad stadium in what will be the match of the day. This game could go either way but I will give the home side the benefit of the doubt. Melbourne travels to Perth to play Fremantle who will easily account for the Demons at home.
