World Teachers’ Day is held annually on 5 October, to appreciate and celebrate the incredible work of educators across the globe and Neos Kosmos wants to help you share your thanks with the community!

Educators come in many forms, be it your lecturers, primary and secondary school teachers, teacher’s aides and even your coaches.

There is no doubt that this year, teachers have had to adapt greatly to ensure that their students continue to have a quality education.

This year, World Teachers’ Day will focus on the theme “Teachers: Leading in crisis, reimagining the future”.

The day provides the occasion to celebrate the teaching profession worldwide, acknowledge their achievements and draw attention to the voices of teachers whose efforts are set to attain the global education target of leaving no one behind.

The COVID-19 pandemic has added a tremendous amount of challenges faced by already over-extended education systems throughout the world.

It is now more than ever that communities across the world need to work with teachers to protect the right to education and guide it into the unfolding landscape brought about by the pandemic.

If you would like to send a thank you and shout out some of your favourite teachers from the past and present, or share a story of how they helped you, you can send an email to mariannaa@neoskomos.com.au

Please make sure to get your messages and photos in by Thursday 1 October, 12:00pm AEST.
