The Hellenic Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HACCI) awards will be held online for the first time and the event on 19 November will be accessible through its  social media platforms on Facebook, LinkedIn and Youtube.

“This year our network of sponsors and supporters has expanded to deliver an event that is accessible to everyone around the globe,” said the chair of HACCI Fotini Kypraios in a statement announcing the event.

The Hellenic Museum will be the venue from which the awards will be uploaded online by HACCI digital partner Just Gold Digital Agency.

Gadjo Dilo, the versatile Greek group – whose work combines a range of influences from jazz, to gypsy, to Greek – will be performing live from Athens for the awards ceremony. The group appeared in the award-winning film Worlds Apart directed by Christopher Papakaliatis and starring Academy Award winning actor JK Simmons.

“Gadjo Dilo will perform live from Athens during #thehaccis. Make sure you follow our Facebook event for full details as we inch towards the broadcast,” said Ms Kypraios who added that HACCI would soon be announcing the shortlist of nominees for the awards.

The organisation announced the following awards and their sponsors: Bank of Sydney Business Award; Professional Services Award (INTRALOT); Woman of Influence Award (SalaryMasters); Innovation Award (Directed); Sports Award (Heidelberg United Football Club); and the Community Service Award (Pronia); Spiros Stamoulis Lifetime Achievement Award; and Chris Saristavros Young Achiever Award.
