Τhe Secretariat General for Public Diplomacy and Greeks Abroad of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs is hosting a virtual exhibition of 125 prize-winners of the international student painting competition, titled “near or far, WE are all ONE”.
The prize-winning drawings of young diasporans was organised in 2020 in collaboration with the Circle of the Greek Children’s Book, which is the Greek section of the International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY). There were a total of 3,520 works submitted by young diasporans from 30 countries.
Entries were evaluated by the Art Assessment Committee of the Children’s Art Gallery of Greece, which consists of qualified artists and teachers. Prizes were sent for the artworks distinguished by age group, as well as honorary certificates of participation to all students who took part in the competition, regardless of ranking.
The awarded artworks of the young artists will be printed in a special commemorative album with the support of the Greek Parliament.
