Tennis star Stefanos Tsitsipas has made his way into the quarter finals of the Australian Open without a fight after the withdrawal of Matteo Berrettini who pulled out due to an abnormal muscle strain.

Speaking of his pain, Berrettini said that he had felt it during his previous match against Khachanov ‘and it’s worse than I thought so I cannot play’.

Tsitsipas will now book a ticket to the quarter final after a straight sets win against Fabio Fognini.

This is the 13th time that the Spaniard has reached the quarter finals. Fifth seeded Tsitsipas is heading to the quarter finals at Melbourne Park for the second time in three years.

Ιn 2019, Tsitsipas lost to Nadal at the semi-finals.
