The first written examination for foreign-born nationals to acquire Greek citizenship will be held nationwide on 16 May.

Greece’s Ministry of the Interior announced that foreigners will be granted the Certificate of Adequate Knowledge for Naturalisation only after they pass a written exam.

This will be followed by an interview by a three-membered committee, which will determine the level of each person’s potential integration. This last step is regulated by both the Interior Ministry and the National Transparency Authority.
