PAOK has stayed laser focused, continuing the winning streak after beating local rival Aris on Wednesday 1-0.

AEK also scored another victory, but only thanks to some clever footwork in overtime that gave them a last minute win against Panathinaikos.

Aris are now joined by derby rivals PAOK in second place in the standings with 57 points, after conceding a goal only seven minutes into the match.

An assist by PAOK forward Karol Świderski gave midfielder Stefan Schwab the opportunity to swoop in for the win at the Kleanthis Vikelidis Stadium.

Panathinaikos had high hopes for the Athens derby at the Olympic Stadium, but had the early lead snatched away in the last minutes of the game.
