PAOK has come to within one point from the top as Olympiakos dropped its first Super League points on Sunday sharing a goalless draw with host Panetolikos at Agrinio.

Olympiakos hit the outside of the upright on the 26th minute with Javier Saviola, while Panetolikos – also the only team to shave points off PAOK so far – had its Brazilian goalkeeper Rafael Bracalli to thank for a spectacular diving save in the last minute of injury time.

After giving PAOK a late win over Shakhter Karagandy for the Europa League on Thursday, Zvonimir Vukic also secured all three league points for PAOK on Sunday as he scored the only goal of the game against Platanias Hanion at Toumba.

Now the team faces OFI on Sunday, and will be in for a sure win and might have a good chance to surpase Olympiakos on the table. OFI hasn’t had the best luck at the start of the season, still winless, with three draws and two losses.

Olympiakos takes on Panionios tomorrow, with a win on the cards too.

Asteras Tripolis caught up with Kalloni Lesvou on the third spot of the table beating it 2-0 on Saturday, and will take on Panathinaikos on Monday.

Panathinaikos climbed to fifth through a 1-0 home win over OFI Crete on Saturday, courtesy of a Marcus Berg goal, his second of the season, in the 65th minute.

Outside the stadium in Athens, a van of Nova, the pay-television station that has the exclusive coverage of the league, was torched by a Molotov cocktail.
Three Greeks and a Turk were arrested after the incident.

Panionios was the only team to score away from home during the weekend in its 1-1 draw at Ergotelis on Sunday, while Panthrakikos defeated Veria to rise up to sixth.

In other weekend games Atromitos downed struggling Apollon 2-0 and Levadiakos scored its first win of the season, beating PAS Giannina 1-0.
