The 10th National Youth Conference by the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia made its mark on more than 300 young participants.
More than seven years after the last conference, young churchgoers were given the chance to voice their thoughts on the future of the church in Australia.
A notable absence was His Eminence Archbishop Stylianos, who couldn’t make the trip to Brisbane after falling ill.
On Tuesday, the Church’s new youth camp on Bribie Island was launched, something the Church hopes will be used by many Greek students in the future.
The retreat and recreation area was officially opened with the unveiling of a commemorative plaque by the State Member for Mansfield, Mr Ian Walker, and was blessed by Bishop Ezekiel.
