It’s been a very eventful week and one definitely worth celebrating for Aussie rules player Georgia Patrikios.

The Saints star is only in her second season of playing in the AFLW, but has already made her mark winning her second Best & Fairest award after being rewarded as a joint winner of last year’s award.

Patrikios scored 80 votes the club’s most coveted accolade, 31 votes ahead of the second-placed Tyanna Smith.

Soon after she was also announced as the 2021 Rebel Sport AFLW Young Leader, which is awarded to an AFLW player, 23 years or younger who shines on and off the field.

“I just want to make an impact for my team…I really want to have some success especially with this group. I’m really looking forward to pushing into finals and hopefully winning a flag,” she said during a speech at the club’s ceremony.

Patrikios went on to thank her parents, her older brother Perry who she “followed into football”, her partner Emilio, the club sponsors, coaches and her teammates.
