Greek Australian Antony Zervas, 29 was the victim of the vicious brawl that erupted in Sydney airport the weekend before last between rival bikie gangs’ members.

Anthony Zervas was not part of a bikie gang but his brother Peter is a member of the Hells Angels, according to media reports.

They were travelling along with another Hells Angels’ member on a flight from Melbourne to Sydney.

On the same flight, according to the reports, there were other men from the rival Comanchero gang.

An abusive verbal exchange apparently started during the flight. When the plane landed the men had an altercation at the exit and security had to intervene. Then a melee erupted inside the Qantas Domestic flights Terminal. The victim was hit on the head with a metal bollard.

NSW Police revealed last week that he was a suspect in a knife attack against an off-duty police officer that took place two days before his death.

The witness of the knife attack Michael Xippas is also behind bars for concealing a serious indictable offence.

His brother Peter was convicted in 2005 for firing a weapon during a party at Brighton le Sands that resulted in a man’s injury.

He was sentenced to five years imprisonment and has been out of jail for one year.

Anthony Zervas had also a police record for offences ranging from traffic violations to drugs possession and violence.
