The organisation Return to Anatolia is holding its 3rd Annual Conference this Saturday June 13 at the Jika International Conference Centre in Fairfield.

This year’s theme is titled The Endurance Of Children, Children of Anatolia – victims, survivors, guardians of hope.

Guest speakers include activists and academics from the Australian Indigenous, Jewish, Greek and Assyrian communities who will share experiences of trauma, upheaval, tragedy and Genocide during the 20th century.

The Return to Anatolia organisation is a joint effort by members of the Armenian, Greek and Assyrian communities here in Australia who trace their roots back to this region of modern-day Turkey.

Their aim is to inspire and educate a wider Australian audience as to the tragic events that took place in Anatolia before, during and after the end of World War I.
