The EJEKT Festival was held last week to a massive Greek audience in Athens.

Some of the freshest and biggest names in music graced the stage as the event provided an original array of genres.

Everything from pop, rock, soul and hip hop to nu wave and electronica was catered for.

While the last minute cancellation of Lauryn Hill took some of the lustre off the festival line up, the two day Festival program left those in attendance happy.

Grand 80s guitar band the Pixies blew people away on the first night with the swampy rock sound while young upstarts White Lies ripped on stage with their poppy modern English rock.

Quirky English rocker Jarvis Cocker impressed with his return to a hot glam rock sound while the Klaxons and Subways waved the flag for 21st century Brit pop.

On Saturday the line up had a stronger emphasis on dance.

Norwegian electonic duo Royskopp did their quirky 80s style synth pop while 2 Many DJs (aka Soulwax) did their Eurobreaks set, which had all in the crowd going off. James Lavelle pulled together a dj set, which ranged from techno to ambient and progressive house.

All in all a good time was had by all.
