Rumours are flying about the production of a second season for the talent search show The X- Factor.

Greek television broadcasters, Antenna TV, are allegedly in negotiations with Sakis Rouvas to host the second edition of the show.

No final word has been given on a deal between Rouvas and Antenna, although if you are to believe the grapevine, apparently the whole proposal will depend on the financial demands of the pop star.

The X-Factor team made their way down under last year to audition local contestants from Australia, but no Aussie talent was successful in delivering what the scouts were after.

Insiders claim that four to five Australian contestants came very close to being selected for the final phase of auditions in Greece and that the judges were most impressed with the quality of talent seen at the Oz try-outs.

Fingers crossed they make it down again for the second instalment to give the Aussie hopefuls another shot.
