Greek rowers shone once again in the European Championship, securing two gold and one silver medal in the finals that took place in Portugal on Sunday.

There were three Greek crews that made the finals at Montemor-O-Velho and all of them grabbed medals.

Alexandra Tsiavou and Christina Giazitzidou kept their crown at the women’s lightweight double sculls, finishing about eight second ahead of the Polish pair in second.

Giorgos Tziallas and Yiannis Christou maintained Greece’s domination in the men’s pair, beating Italy to the finish line.

The Greek boat at men’s four finished second, featuring Stergios Papachristos, Yiannis Tsilis and brothers Nikos and Apostolos Gontoulas.
